Mémoire - A Poem by Jimmy Blackwell

Moments to cherish, to forget I will not,
to forget I will never.

Lone stargazing, when my attention you grasped,
taking me out of my world. World of emptiness, where
I would've calapsed, I would've surely burned.

All alone in the world,
but you would not let it be.

Yeast added to dough, like thus ,you let me rise, the right ingredient
for my cause to strive.

"You can have whatever you like", were the words spoken in darkness,
through the ripples of travelling. You replied in a foreign language of which
the ear could not understand, but the heart could surely interpret.

Moments shortly spent,
will last for a lifetime in memory.
