Seek Inspiration - A Discourse by M.N. Hopkins

Seek Inspiration - A Discourse by M.N. Hopkins

Seek inspiration and seek the help of yourSelf and no harm will come to you.  Listen not to others, but trust only in your own Inner Voice.  The one that speaks loudly and with such authority, yet few can hear It's cries.

Let not that of darkness dictate to you its lies and let not those of childish importance rule your everyday living, but be a leader and lead the way to a better way for all.  Be a Light to those of darkness and let no man keep you from your rightful place on the throne whose holy chamber is within your heart.

For you are as gods, yet you see it not.  The ones of darkness have so irritated and damaged your normal thought processes, that you can no longer illuminate the pathway of your minds toward a happy destination.

Yes, the bards sang their songs to inspire and direct ones focus back to one's Self.  This is where you will find the strength, determination, and the endurance to continue upon your chosen paths.  For to reconnect again to your Soul or yourSelf will connect you to God and an infinite supply of energy and creative endeavor.

For you can already create such things of beauty, though you see it not.  We can see it and see it's effects.

For wealth is not seen but by a few of vision and that vision is turned within oneself, not outward into the world of man.  Seek again the treasures that already lie within you and share them freely with those in need of quiet inspiration toward the ultimate goal of coming back to oneSelf.

Come back again to this joy and share it with all who are willing and accepting of our offers of the Gifts of God to Man.

Seek Dat Vrede - Een Gedicht van M.N. Hopkins

Seek Dat vrede

MN Hopkins

Brianna: Surviving Post-Cervarix Syndrom In The UK by Laura Price

Brianna: Surviving Post-Cervarix Syndrome

By Laura Price
Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire UK

Sane Vax, Inc     27 September 2016

My daughter, Brianna, was an active dancer since the age of 2 and a member of the school athletic team. She has always been fit and healthy and very academic.
On September 28th 2011 at age 12 she had her first dose of the Cervarix vaccine. Shortly thereafter everything changed.
During the next 3 weeks she became increasingly unwell, experiencing fatigue, insomnia, constant nausea, increased body temperature, hot flushes, headaches and muscle and joint pain. She would attempt to go to school, but they would just send her home.
Her GP carried out several blood and urine tests, but all results were negative. We asked the GP could it be a reaction to the vaccine. Our GP contacted the manufacturers who confirmed that her symptoms were recognised reactions, but not generally after this length of time. However, our GP advised that she should not have the 2nd and 3rd doses of the vaccine in case.
Over the next 6 months Brianna could not handle more than 1 or 2 hours a week at school, some weeks there was no attendance. She also had to give up all sports and dancing.
To learn more about this period of Brianna’s life, read her original story here.

Post-Cervarix Syndrome: The next few years

In April 2012, after seeing the Paediatrician at our local hospital, she was referred to Gt Ormond Street Hospital to see the ME specialist team led by Dr Vic Larcher. It was then she received a diagnosis of CFS/ME (chronic fatigue syndrome/myalgic encephalomyelitis).
When we asked him if the vaccine could be the cause, his simple reply was, “I am treating a lot more girls with CFS/ME since its introduction.”
Since then treatment has been regular physiotherapy and for 18 months she had psychology to help her deal with having a chronic condition.
Brianna now has to take 20mg of Amitriptyline a day to help her sleep at night, co-codamol every day for pain relief and anti-nausea medication as and when required. She has also been having hydrotherapy and is currently waiting to get a TENS machine for pain relief.
After two and a half years, Brianna could manage to attend up to 11 hours of schooling a week. She has been further diagnosed with Raynaud’s disease, hypermobility syndrome and postural hypertension.
Brianna has a very small circle of 4 close friends, having lost a lot of social contact due to not being well enough to attend school and do all that other healthy teenagers do. This serves to make her feel even more isolated.
By February 2016, Brianna successfully gained high grades in 7 GCSE’s after a part-time timetable at school and a lot of self-teaching at home.
She now attends the 6th form and is studying 3 (the norm is 4) A-levels over a 12-hour week, only going in for lessons and doing all study periods at home. However, it is not often that she manages the entire 12 hours.
She still has a small circle of friends. Due to the increased work load at school, we have to keep an eye on social time to ensure she does not overdo things and miss important time in school. She tried to start dancing again, but unfortunately had to stop as she was finding it too much to handle.
She still has regular physiotherapy to work on increasing her exercise time. She had a goal of being able to go on a school trip to Barcelona in July of this year and the school would only let her take part if her physiotherapist confirmed that she was fit enough. She did manage to go, however, it then meant she missed the week of school after her return, as she was so tired.
Brianna continues to take amitriptyline to help her sleep at night and attends hospital in London twice a year to be seen by a CFS/ME consultant who monitors her progress.
She has passed her driving test and has her own car, which is a great help in preserving her energy levels and enables her to easily get to and from school.
We have been looking at further education at University, but at this stage Brianna really is not sure if she would be able to cope.
She spent a lot of time trying to find a part time job, like her friends have, but it was very difficult to find something that she could cope with without over doing it. She now has a small job helping in a local hairdressers and they are very understanding of her condition and work around the hours she can do.
We would love her to have a normal teenage life.

7 Healing Uses For Lavender Essential Oil by Margie King

7 Healing Uses For Lavender Essential Oil

by Margie King

Green Med Info.  15 September 2015

Lavender has been used for medicinal purposes for over 2,500 years. Today lavender is the most popular essential oil in the world. Here are just 7 proven uses for this amazing oil.
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) has been used for medicinal purposes for over 2,500 years especially in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Ancient Persians, Greeks, and Romans added lavender flowers to their bathwater.  The name itself comes from the Latin “lavare” meaning to wash. The Egyptians used lavender as a perfume, as well as for mummification.
Today lavender is the most popular essential oil in the world.  Compounds contained in the oil have antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibiotic effects.
Scientific studies back up the wisdom of the ancients.  Here are just 7 evidence-based uses for lavender essential oil:

1. Relieve Anxiety

A German study confirmed that lavender oil is more effective than placebo in relieving anxiety in elderly patients.  The researchers concluded that it would be an effective and well-tolerated alternative to synthetic drugs.
In another study of 90 anxious patients awaiting open-heart surgery, researchers had the patients inhale either lavender oil or distilled water for 20 minutes.  Inhaling lavender reduced anxiety as well as cortisol levels. Questionnaires answered by the patients showed the lavender decreased anxiety by 10.8 percent.  Blood testing revealed that cortisol levels dropped by a whopping 69.6 percent.
And in a study of 60 heart patients in a coronary intensive care unit (ICU) patients were given 2% lavender essential oil via inhalation every day.  After 15 days, the patients inhaling lavender reported significantly less anxiety.  Researchers concluded that lavender is a non-invasive, cheap, easily applied, and cost effective intervention for cardiac patients in the ICU.

2. Improve Sleep

Several studies show the effectiveness of lavender aromatherapy in sleep-related disorders. In one study of 158 new mothers, women were assigned to two random groups.  One group dropped lavender oil on a cotton ball and inhaled 10 deep breaths before going to sleep.  They also kept the lavender ball near their pillow until morning.  They did this four times a week. A control group did the same thing with a placebo oil rather than lavender. After eight weeks, women inhaling lavender had a significant improvement in their sleep quality compared to the control group.

3. Ease Premenstrual Symptoms

It is estimated that 45 percent of women suffer from moderate to severe dysmenorrhea. This condition develops at the time of menstruation and can cause cramps, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, loss of appetite, diarrhea, and headaches.
A lavender oil massage can help relieve dysmenorrhea.  In one study from Turkey, 44 midwifery or nursing students administered a self-massage with either lavender oil or petroleum oil as a placebo.  The lavender oil was found to reduce menstrual pain at a statistically significant rate.
In an Iranian study of 80 midwifery and nursing students, volunteers were randomly assigned to receive either a lavender oil massage or placebo massage during two consecutive menstrual cycles.  Their level of pain was measured before and 30 minutes after the massage. The lavender oil massage caused a significant decrease in dysmenorrhea symptoms compared to the placebo.
The researchers noted that topical application of lavender oil relaxes the muscles, improves blood supply to the tissues, and increases elasticity. And the active compounds in lavender oil remain on the skin for about 90 minutes after the massage.  In addition, the oil – after topical use or inhalation – is absorbed into the blood stream.
In addition to pain many women suffer with emotional stress during their menstrual periods. A Japanese study found that inhaling lavender can help. Researchers studied 17 women in their early 20s with mild to moderate premenstrual symptoms. The women inhaled either lavender or water.  They found that inhaling lavender for just 10 minutes significantly increased the activity of the parasympathetic nervous system compared to the water.  In addition, psychological tests showed that lavender significantly decreased feelings of depression/dejection and confusion as long as 35 minutes after inhalation.
