Just do it!

The Image

Make things happen

Rise to the occasion

Understand prevailing attitudes

Be gracious

The Inside

Wait while the Dragon sleeps. Before you begin, meditate, and form a clear plan of action. Think. Persevere on your tasks. Maintain a low profile. Good Fortune. Everything falls apart! Do not proceed against reason! Misfortune! Great Good Fortune comes from fulfilling your duties in the family. Be real. Strive to be the center of union, when everything is splitting apart. Good Luck! Do your best! The Dragon is prepared in advance, and therefore fears nothing. Give it a shot. Go for it!
The Outside

Use extreme care in the making of plans. Be Aware. When the time comes, mobilize your forces for action. Be Aware! Superficial joy brings nothing but misfortune. Be real. Pay attention to advice, and you will not be isolated in the midst of struggle. Strive for clarity. Think! A cooperative arrangement is beneficial to all concerned. Great Good Fortune. The evil dragon flies towards disaster! Destruction awaits those who misuse their power. Misfortune!

The Lines

Top : The Dragon slays the serpent. Resolutely confront and discredit negative influences to prevent problems in the future. No Blame.

5 : Be firm and resolute, when disassociating yourself from negative influences. Be Real!

4 : The Wise listen to advice. A fool cannot learn anything from anyone. Think!

3 : Keep silent and follow your chosen course. Difficulties, but no blame.

2 : Calmly assume responsibility in the time of crisis. Be Aware.

1 : Do not begin before you are ready. Be careful.

Mind Cannot See Love - A Poem by M.N. Hopkins

Mind cannot see Love

Which is not within it’s view

Only reflections

© 2017. M.N. Hopkins

Note:  I wrote this poem being inspired by the movie called, The Shack which I highly recommend.   I am publishing it today for the first time on my blog today,  20 June 2017.  I do like the medium of haiku.  So few words that have the ability to reveal so much if properly ordered.

For And With The Divine - A Poem by M.N. Hopkins

When faced with a dilema

There are two ways to go

Turn away from it

Or

Walk directly into the storm

The storm will last but a short while

And after

You will be

Enlivened and refreshed

Too many have been conditioned

To take the easy way

Devoid of conflict

Devoid of challenges

Devoid of Love

It is better

To accept one’s humanness

And

Participate in lifes ups and downs

By this way

A turnaround is possible

A turn away from

False beliefs

False educations

False conditioning

And

Embrace reality

With all it’s thorns and pitfalls

Travel through one’s life

With an air of expection

And

Open to all one meets

As one travels on one’s way

Walking alone

Or

Walking together

Walking always toward

The Promised Land

Of one’s own making

Find balance

Then

You will find Love

That Love that has always been with you

And

Within you

Accept your life as it is

Then

You are in a position of change

For the better

Be at peace

While you walk toward a destination that was the same

At your departure

As it is upon your arrival

Walk the human path

For that is the path

That is the shortest distance to the Divine

One does not walk away from

Or

Out of one’s humanity

To arrive in the Divine

Rather

One walks into one’s humanity

To be in the Divine

Then in balance

Human walks alongside

And

Together with the Divine

An union occurs within

One’s everyday reality

An union of Heaven and Earth

Not as no longer human as you have been taught

Rather

As more human

In this partnership

The human walks for and with

The Divine

Yes

For and with

The Divine

So Shall It Be - A Poem by M.N. Hopkins

Some live

Some die

Some  exist in a zombie trance

Those whom awaken from the trance

Have been given the power

To release

Their brothers asnd sisters

From the zombie trance

They have the antidote

They carry it within their being

They say to us

Awaken now

Awaken now

If you so will

So will it be

Done

And

So will it be

Done

Now

In this Moment

Now

So shall it be

Note:  This was written and published on my blog for the first time today, 16 June 2017.  It took me about an half hour to write after the initial wave of inspiration.  I play with the words until they find their rightful place on the paper.  If you can understand that and let down your guard for just a moment then you too will  awaken from your Zombie trance.  You will find the antidote hiding within the above words of this poem.

I Sit Looking Out - A Poem by M.N. Hopkins

I sit looking out

Enjoying Birch and Fir Trees

At peace with nature.

Note:  I started to write a poem yesterday in my usual style of writing and it just did not work.  I though of how to simplify the message and what popped into my head was the word, Haiku.

I have used this form many years back and taught poetry lessons to my students using this form and have been able to effortlessly create examples for them just by staring at an object or out the window and playing around with the words that come to mind while after checking I am using the proper 5-7-5 form of the Japanese poetry.

I wrote this poem this morning, 16 June 2017 and published it for the first time on my blog today.
